31 weeks!

Standard

I’m so excited to be at 31 weeks!  I can’t believe how enjoyable this pregnancy has been. I’ve really tried hard to take care of my body, and do what I can to make good choices for sweet little Carsyn Elizabeth!  Don’t get me wrong, I have definitely given into some cravings!  My favorite by far is the Cheetos Twisted Puffs… Normally I wouldn’t bat an eye at those things, but I’ve seriously eaten 3 or 4 bags just in my 3rd trimester so far!  I have to avoid that aisle in the grocercy store to keep from buying it!

But I’ve been really good about getting on the treadmill several times a week, and keeping up with my video workouts that I find on youtube.  I have to say, I think this is one of the reasons that I feel so great.  I’ve had a bit of swelling in my feet, and I’m not sleeping well at night, but that’s all expected when you have almost extra 20 lbs in your belly!  I can’t lay flat on my back because of heartburn, and it’s an ordeal to roll over at night.  Somehow I find myself on my back in the middle of the night, and my body wakes me up because my growing belly is finally pressing on my cyatic nerve when I lay on my back. So I wake up in the middle of the night, ON MY BACK, with tingly legs because my circulation’s not so great.  I try to use the body pillow, but get so tired of laying on my left all the time!… and rearranging my pillows in the middle of the night had definitely occurred to me, but I’ve never had the energy to actually do it! Along with all that, little Carsyn enjoys resting right on my bladder, and I’m up several times in the middle of the night to use the restroom.  I’ve had some Braxton Hicks contractions, and they usually occur in the middle of the night… i wake up with a rock hard stomach, and then after a few seconds it relaxes.

Like I said, minor things to deal with! 😉  I’m so happy to only have about 9 weeks before I will meet my baby girl!  Who knows, may be sooner. I’ve had a feeling and some dreams that she’s early…but only time will tell that! 🙂
